To create a cohesive and consistent brand story with brand name, tagline, logo, brand book, and website for Fermbox. The goal was to make sure the brand image strikes a chord with the target audience!
We realised that in a world that is moving towards sustainable living, we needed to formulate a first mover advantage for Fermbox in the bio-manufacturing industry.
We conceptualised a future-forward vision and creative direction that is consumer friendly for all of the brand communications.
We created the brand name for Fermbox considering the company’s focus and words that evoke images of innovation, sustainability, and precision apt for a verbal recall.
The name “Fermbox” is a combination of the words fermentation and box, which perfectly describe the brand’s niche expertise.
We ideated the tagline ‘Fermenting The Future Of Bio-Materials’ as a brief statement that communicates the brand’s value proposition.
It is concise, memorable, and evokes an emotional response from the target audience.
We chose orange as a primary colour, to differentiate the logo from competitors as well as help conjure feelings of excitement, enthusiasm, and warmth for the audience.
As the logo is the visual representation for brand identity, we created a simple yet easily recognizable symbol that represents the company’s commitment to sustainability – cells being cultured within a heart.
We generated an ode to Fermbox’s efforts to cruelty free fermented fats evoking images of science, innovation, and care.
We conceptualised a comprehensive brand book guide which outlines the company’s brand identity, including the brand name, tagline, logo, brand tonality, and other elements. It also includes guidelines for how the brand should be represented, such as marketing materials, social media, and other communications.
We ensured that all elements are consistent and aligned with the company’s core values and mission.
Our creative process for website creation for Fermbox involved several key steps – research, planning, design, development, testing, and launch.
We conducted a thorough research on the bio-manufacturing industry and competitors in the field. This information was leveraged in the copy, design, and development of the website.
Based on the research conducted in the first step, a plan was outlined with goals and objectives for the website. This plan included a site map, structure of the website and the pages that will be included.
The design stage involved creating visual and aesthetic elements, such as the layout, colour scheme, typography, and imagery. The design was created to reflect Fermbox’s brand identity, while also being visually appealing and easy to navigate.
The final stage involved coding and building the website using web development languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. During this stage, the website was made responsive and optimised for various devices and screen sizes, ensuring a seamless user experience.
Post development we tested for bugs, errors, and other issues that could impact the functionality and usability of the website to ensure compatibility and accessibility.

Fermbox specialises in state-of-the-art synthetic biology and metabolic engineering to develop proprietary microbial strains, including yeast, bacteria, and fungi, capable of producing specific animal-derived products such as fats and lipids through fermentation.
They are leading the way in producing fermented fats identical to animal fats, and customising fats for specific applications, and designing fats with new properties.
